No maidens in Blackley today

Nipped over to Huddersfield this afternoon to buy some train tickets for London and to do some shopping. As always in Huddersfield, I ended up bumping into old friends.

Took the short cut home over Blackley and stopped off for a short while to watch the village cricket match. It's amazing that this peaceful scene is less than half a mile from the thundering traffic on the M62 motorway. The batsman in the photo was quite prolific in notching up the runs. No maidens seen here in Blackley today!

Also amazing was the fact that I was not alone as other blippers were also in Blackley today.
