London from the Air
A great day in London for me (Chris) with the Phantom Flight School. Using only areas where we could legally fly our drones (they had to be DJI Mini 2 or 3 and consequently sub 250g in weight) we were nevertheless able to get shots of some iconic views. We started near the O2 (you can't fly over the O2 but close to it and across the Thames to the Isle of Dogs) and then took the Thames clipper to St Katherines Dock where we could fly towards Tower Bridge. Very surprising to find you could fly in these locations, we did first have to get approval to "unlock" the relevant maps but that was very simple.
The blip was taken as Tower Bridge opened to let a tall sailing barge through (we know it was going to happen at 3.30pm, we didn't just get lucky). We'd lost the earlier blue sky hence the mono conversion. A couple of extras too from earlier in the day. More photos here if you want a look.
Annie went to visit her step mum in Cambridge and also visited a very good friend whilst in the area. It has a busy weekend.
