Puddles at the harbour
As forecast, the day started cold but sunny. Rain was supposed to arrive at 4pm but it started at 3pm and was heavy and murky. It's still raining several hours later. It feels like winter. I made my long-put-off-trip to Tesco bearable by walking around Charlestown on the way. It wasn't too crowded for once but it was still difficult to find a free parking space.
The news is now telling us stories about how some Tories and others want Liz Truss out soon. They dithered for far too long when they wanted Boris gone because of the 'but who can replace him?' question. Now they're saying the same about HER. It doesn't seem to have occurred to them that they don't seem to have a potential 'leader' among their ranks. And they don't seem to be thinking about 'the good of the country' any more - just 'will this leader or another leader cause me to lose my parliamentary seat at the next election?' They could answer that question by calling a General Election NOW. The polls show a great many of them will lose their seats.
