Cheltenham Literature Festival

Last night a friend from Essex came for dinner and to stay. I’d been out in the Cotswolds all day with another friend so it was a bit hectic but lovely to see her and catch up.
Today after breakfast we went to Cheltenham and met up with a third friend for lunch and 2 sessions at the festival, then dinner.
The first one was Lying the new Social Super Power, with this author ( got her book and she signed it) . Told her I loved it -was that the truth? :)
Also on stage was journalist Dorothy Byrne- very funny and acerbic about the current political situation.
The second session was interviews with the 6 short list Booker prize winners. The award is announced Monday. All very different, I couldn’t call it. https://thebookerprizes.com/the-booker-library/prize-years/2022

Then we had dinner and headed our separate ways.
