Departure day

We left our hotel near Newcastle, and headed South towards Chesterfield, where we stopped for lunch at one of those garden centres where you have to spend at least £27 before you can find your way out; and for a longer break at Stratford upon Avon. The market was closing up as we wandered around, so I discouraged Dave from.browsing. 

We had a hot chocolate in a courtyard instead, and found four charity shops side by side! I bought a shirt. Back on the coach, and I got to Stroud at about 7.15 pm.

Had a quick change of clothes, then S drove me down to town for a workers' night out at a local restaurant. Seafood was eaten and drinks were drunk. Walked home with another colleague who lives nearby. Steve was watching newsnight or some other current affairs programme.
