Winter barley.....

A horrible start to the day. It was fairly dry at 6am,but as soon as I set off to feed cattle it started tipping it down. By 9 o'clock it had eased off but the wind kept up most of the day with more heavy showers.
Went down the road this afternoon to feed the bulling heifers then went to check on the winter barley.
This field was done with 2 different seeders. One was mounted on top of the power harrow that the contractor usually uses ,the other was the demo seeder that I blipped at the time. It wasn't working right on the day and they had to go over the field again as it hadn't sown enough seed. Not a great incentive to buy it !
And just to add to the fun there is a missed strip at the far side of the field. At least it's not next to the main road !
