Sycamore leaves

There is a huge sycamore tree in the garden next to ours. At this time of year, many of its leaves fall into our garden. Here are three of them. I also see that there are a couple sycamore seed pods in my blip too.

Our Christmas preparations officially started today with (a) the design and ordering of our Christmas cards (taking advantage of 65% off at Optimalprint until tomorrow - Sunday 16th) and (b) the first few ideas for our Christmas newsletter taking form. I have also been planning for spring by planting bulbs at the front and back.

It looks like the recent financial turmoil has hit the Edinburgh property market. The prospective owners of the flat above ours attempted to negotiate a huge reduction in the purchase price agreed just a couple of weeks ago. They then withdrew from the sale when our ex-neighbours refused to negotiate. The solicitors handling the (non)sale have said that this is the fifth instance of such shenanigans that they have witnessed in the past week.
