Light and Water

I do love the light on North Uist. The lack of hills and trees, the amount of water, the huge skies - all contribute to the kind of light we rarely have at home. And having a house with big windows on all sides, we feel as if we are surrounded by the light, even when inside.

A beautiful day today, lots of sunshine and very little wind - perfect. The clarity of the light encouraged us to take the turning just along the road from us that actually goes uphill . . !

The view from the summit is wonderful, you can see just about the whole of North Uist. This view is south towards the sea, the hills in the distance are on South Uist. You can see how much of North Uist is water! (Much better seen large)
