Early Autumn

We met some friends for a walk on Ashdown Forest this morning. Followed, for me at least, by an afternoon with the Rugby League World Cup on television. Watching rugby league on television is my secret vice. My mother came from St Helen's and was a big Saints fan (she had a cousin who played for them in the 1930s). And so I too became a rugby league fan. But, being marooned in the south of England, I don't know any other league fans!
