Let It Blow...
...or snow.
We often lose electrical power in the darker months, when high winds topple trees and limbs which break the overhead cables. Last year we had one outage that lasted 22 hours. We won’t have to worry about that anymore — I bought a generator which connects to our house supply. Some switch flipping is involved.
The generator runs on gasoline* (UK petrol) or propane — in the white tank. It’s very noisy, so we won’t be running it during bedtime.
Extra shows the gen. tucked in for the night!
*normally abbreviated to “gas”, but propane is a liquefied gas, so that can be a little confusing for some!
