Snow Geese

It’s with great delight that we see the snow geese back for the winter.  These magnificent birds fly all the way from Wrangle Island in Siberia where they nest during the summer.  They spend the winter in our area because there are good habitats for them: marshes, river estuaries and farmer’s fields.  We love seeing them fly overhead in great silver flocks and enjoy hearing their beautiful communications with one another.
