Cheltenham Promendaski

This view of Cheltenham’s Promenade reminded me of city views in Eastern Europe where we lived for four years. This department store’s architecture always strikes me as being out of keeping with its Regency Spa setting. At the other end of the promenade the Cheltenham Literary Festival was in full swing. Convoys of coaches and crocodiles of avid young readers were enjoying the extensive schools’ programme.
