When it rains

Proper thunderstorm last night, I was going to venture out to take a snap but the roar of thunder and crack of lightning on the terrace sent me scurrying back to bed. Met a lovely family who were leaving and gave us a bag of goodies, they live in rural east Scotland, the mother working from home and home schooling the 2 kids, a precocious 9 year old (coming on 25) and a ‘I’m nearly 6’ year old. They got fed up with their hotel complaining about the kids playing so they went on a tour of the island for a few days staying wherever, such a brave and content family who get the most out of life. They’re off to Cape Verde in a few weeks!
