Perfect weather for It

Another lovely autumn day here in paradise!   My available time for the garden was somewhat limited but I did get out with my camera a couple of times between assorted other commitments.   Crocus goulimyi leucanthus has popped up in the last 48 hours, the leaves come first with this species so I could see it coming but two days ago, the flower buds were still under wraps at ground level.  It hails from the Peloponnese.

A walk at Rhydyronen with Meg this morning started cool but coming down the lane the sun was so warm on my back that I had to carry my coat.   She saw a squirrel and had a go at climbing the tree after it - with predictable lack of success!   Lots of sing-song noises from her as it scampered about above our heads which made me smile.  A lunchtime meeting and lunch at Jamie's with just a short gap before a routine vets visit for Bella and the trip to Aberystwyth for basketball.   Home well after dark.

Tomorrow Jamie sets off for a weekend with Clara, leaving Bella with me.  Katie was due to have her but is still awaiting discharge from hospital after two days of failures with hospital transport.   She's coming home on Monday now, her support worker will pick her up.  We're looking forward to having her back.
