Box of acorns

The new plan, given we have an acorn mast year, is to find some very old well matured oak trees and collect the acorns. We will pot up over the winter months and leave somewhere dark and cold and then hopefully come spring we will have some small oak trees growing from a diverse crop of trees. Question will then be where to plant them
