Dead

This poor wee thing was lying - in this exact position - in our path as we walked up the side of the hayfield this morning (somewhat later than usual because it was raining earlier). No idea how or why it died. Dropped by an owl? Anyway - it is, or was, a Northern short-tailed shrew. 

Go large and look at its teefs! They're like needles!
