Kelmscott Manor.

I headed off to Kelmscott Manor this morning with a few women from WI.

What a stunningly beautiful house and garden. The top right picture is wallpaper that William Morris designed specifically for Kelmscott and is in the bedroom where the gorgeous bed is situated.

I came home for a meeting with the insurance assessor. We had a large leak, resulting in the electrics not working, most of the ceiling on the floor and the walls and floor so full of water that we need to have professional dehumidifiers installed for two weeks. After that, the remaining ceiling will need to come down, after being tested for asbestos, then a new ceiling installed and the whole room redecorated. It might all be done by Christmas, but maybe not….
