Although L walked Django this morning, the weather was beautiful, so I took a walk around the town - collecting potential photos for Blipfoto. I got back in good time for my 09:40-10:20 online talk for a workshop in Hong Kong. It went well, I had a few questions, and (supposedly) I'll get a £900 fee for it! I stayed for the last talk of the day - by someone I know from the Berlin group I visit - and then headed into Edinburgh.
Bus times meant that I missed out on getting lunch from Gregg's so, when I arrived, I had to cross the campus to get something to eat, spotting this attractive scene.
In the afternoon, with И's help I got a build of our software set up to investigate a client's issue, but then had to stop for my Office Hour. I had one scheduled student visit, and one from our asylum-seeking student who wanted advice. He's a joy to talk to, and he left shortly before an hour-long undergraduate project supervision meeting. This, too, was pleasant, as I eased them both past the obstacles they'd encountered and we chatted around the subject. Thus passed a fulfilling afternoon.
