Squashed

When lockdowns were instituted in 2020 and J was told she must shield we worried about food and turned online. And we have continued on-line since, excepting Booths when we are at our caravan (which has become my treat shop).

Every two weeks we get deliveries of fresh fruit and veg from a local farm. It’s all fresh and in season, and very tasty, the farm is wholly focussed on growing for online deliveries. Although recently they have started having eat at the farm events, having taken on a good chef (not for us, we’re still uncomfortable about “eating out”).

The weekend before the Tuesday delivery we can check what’s due to arrive and make up to four substitutions. It’s all led to some interesting culinary experiences. This week we’ve used the spaghetti squash from two weeks ago to make two excellent meals. Now we’ll have to decide how to use this week’s harlequin squash.

An extra - a visitor to the garden whilst the sun shone.
