Ahhhhhh........

Laurie, my angel of mercy will be arriving on November 5 with her kitty Mattie in tow.  She'll be here until the first part of January to help me with recovery from hand surgery and physical therapy.  The surgery is scheduled for November 8 so I'm trying to get everything done that requires a right hand before then, which is pretty much everything. 

I think I've got everything to make Laurie comfortable in place and now I'm working on things for Mattie.  In the interest of keeping her as separate as possible from Lizzie, I've got her a new litter box and the lovely rainbow donut bed that Lizzie is giving a trial run.  I thought I should probably get Lizzie one anyway and apparently Lizzie had the same thought.  As soon as I put the bed down she climbed into it and went to sleep.  I have a second one ordered and it should be here in the next couple days.  I'll keep that one separate so it doesn't smell "used".  

We have no idea how Lizzie will react to Mattie.  Mattie is a younger cat so I'm hoping that Lizzie's maternal instinct will kick in and she'll maybe mother her or at least not try to attack her.   I'm sure it'll be rough going for a bit but we'll just push through and hope all goes well.
