The Hills of Hoy

Went in past to see my Mum today who continued to obsess about insoles.  But generally she was in good spirits.  She insisted that, when I left, I wouldn’t’ be able to find my way out.  Shaks heid.
 
On my way back to base I went to visit Davie, it’s been quite a while now.  Sadly, I saw quite a marked difference in him.  His chemo  has been withdrawn as it’s too aggressive for him.  Karen was there too, because it’s half term, and we chatted at length.  They certainly must have some very very difficult moments.  Once again though he spoke quite eloquently and managed to work Julian Bream, Thomas Tallis and Martin Taylor int the weft and weave of the words.
 
It was a humbling visit.
