Riesling Grapes

Most vineyards have been harvested already, but a few still have their grapes. They usually are of the Riesling variety, which is typical for our region. Riesling can be harvested quite late to produce sweeter wine. 

I heard cranes again this afternoon, and ran to get my camera, but was too late. They were flying very high, due west into a white sky, where the sun had just disappeared behind hazy clouds. That gave me no chance to blip them.
