Moreton Bay fig

This enormous tree is planted in the Camperdown Cemetery in the grounds of St Stephens Anglican Church. I've blipped from here before and it keeps giving. Founded in 1848, this was Sydney's main cemetery for 20 years. The tree's planting was also in 1848. It is the oldest Moreton Bay fig in the district.

We are gearing up for Sunday, when we are hosting a Meet (baby) Margot event chez nous. While comments may be spasmodic for the next few days, the celebrations will provide some photo opps.
