Relief
Walking along by the river I met the artist /owner of the gallery with her little doodle dog Bonnie - Oscar adores her! We spotted the swans with their one cygnet - they all seemed healthy and it was such a relief. The Owner has a workroom at the boatyard and she was going there to work on her Christmas cards - which were of the swans - she wasn't sure whether to change them given the circumstances. I think it would be good to commemorate them in a card.
I was surprised to see the boat in extras - looks like a working boat rather than all the others there which are definitely leisure boats!
As I continued walking I found apples being sold - £1 for a big bag! I bought some for the hens who are now in lockdown. We've decided to go up in the am's to clean and give food /water, and leave the coop door ajar so they can go in and out but keep the coop as warm as possible. They do generate a lot of heat at night! When it gets really cold I have a cover for the coop - rather like a sleeping bag!
Once home I delved into the recesses of the attic to get out the halloween boxes - I intend to try selling my copious amount of halloween costumes and decor on Facebook! After a late lunch and a chat with my sister I then cleaned the windows /doors from the kitchen to the conservatory - Oscar does make them dirty by pressing up against them when he wants to come in/out! I think the weather is going to turn wet so decided to get them done! Now time for the Bake Off!
