Today's the day .......................... to ask for info

I'm afraid I have no idea what these little toadstools are - or indeed whether they are mushrooms, toadstools or fungi?!

They are growing on the stump of an old tree in the garden - and I'm fairly sure that someone out there in Blipland will be able to tell me ......................?
