BERRIES ! ! ! ___________

I was surprised that I hadn't taken notice of these Berries before, but they are growing on the Iris that has been in the front garden for several years. As to it's origin and how it got there is a mystery. May be the mystery has now been solved, it may have been seeded by birds! I was under the impression that Irises only grew from bulbs! Any knowledge out there would be appreciated.
