Great day for baseball, bad day for the Jays
My friend Gord and I ventured into Toronto to watch a Blue Jays game at the dome. National League Cy Young winner (2012) and lone Major League level knuckleballer and ace of the pitching staff R. A. Dickey was on the mound for the home squad but things went badly from the first pitch which gave up a home run. Later, Dickey loaded up the bases and they all came home for the visiting Seattle Mariners. We got one back late in the game but the final was 8-1 for Seattle. They won yesterday as well 4-0. Our team is still not gelling together. Everybody's slumping at the same time. Here's hoping they'll all break loose soon and tear it up for the rest of the summer.
