Lewis Chessmen

Staying at my parents-in-law this weekend to see my wife has a new nephew nearby. There are lots of collectable items in the house - I am particularly fond of this one. There are lewis chessmen (replicas obviously). The originals were found in Scotland in around 1830 - calved from walrus ivory and whale tooth, believed to have been made around 1200 AD in Norway! I think the originals are in thee British museum if not mistaken
