Patch Work

Breezy and some movement in the water to disrupt the reflections. I could either focus on the reflection or the water. I wanted to keep the shutter speed higher to freeze the water somewhat and the lack of detail anyway meant I could use a wide aperture.

The result was a patch work of autumn colour, although I might be doing a disservice to quilt makers in drawing that comparison. Similar to my dislike of labelling photographs 'painterly', but that's another ramble.

Again, my challenge is in getting the 'right' balance between, in this case, orange and blue.

Also posted for Oct. 7th today.
