Car Park Jam

Gales again, along with heavy and fierce showers.  There was some fine sunny and dry spells too.

Up at 5am, and early shift in the airport.  The day started on the check-in desk, then moved to work with oil and gas flights.  In the afternoon there was various jobs, and a few delays on Edinburgh flights.  I've been for a massage this evening, and they focused on my aches and pains in my thighs.  Hopefully it will help the trapped nerves.  Walkies with Sammy, then an early night. 

The October holidays started early for some last week, and since then we have been mobbed with families heading away in search of sunshine and a late summer break.  Judging by our car park, which is overflowing, it looks like half of Shetland has gone!  Mind, people have left in large numbers via the ferry too.  This should be a double road for traffic coming and going from the airport car park, but the overspill has taken over.  I needed some nifty manoeuvres when leaving today, hopefully find a spot to park in the morning.  Taken in the car park at Sumburgh Airport.
