Next door’s pears

The tree has had a difficult couple of years but seems to be fighting back well with a small crop this year. Hopefully it will be back to full abundance next year.

The news today that the sodding boiler has packed up barely came as a surprise. Of course it has. The boiler man who hates both us and our boiler might try and pop in on his way back from Eastbourne tomorrow. It was an unenthusiastic phone call from both sides.

I cheered myself up by watching Rick Stein in Bologna, carefully making notes of the best places. And talking of Italy, second class tomorrow and I haven’t done my homework yet!
