The view

From a canal side flat on the Trent & Mersey Canal at Stone, Staffs.  I’ve been a scrubber today helping a friend clean the flat which she and her husband are completing the sale of on Friday.  Their son has been living in the flat for the last few years so the word scrubber is highly appropriate.
 
We took a large bucket full of cleaning stuff, mugs, coffee, tea and camping chairs and after coffee we started work at 11.am, the bathroom, kitchen, cooker and ensuite proving the most challenging!  At 3pm we stopped for a rest and went to the M&S Food Hall Café for more coffee, sandwiches and delicious slices of three tier carrot cake.  Suitably restored we commenced round 2 finishing up at 5.pm and feeling very pleased with our day’s work……….
 
Back home at 6pm, cooked and eaten dinner and now feeling ready for bed at 8pm!
