(what did people do in galleries before smart phones were invented? these days they mostly take photos with their iPads - which is annoying, or sit slouched and texting/emailing friends . I doubt that they write about the exhibitions. This says something else that people are visiting these blockbuster exhibitions not because they like them but because they have tick the box)
B & I went to see RL retrospective in in Tate Modern today. Exhibition was well done but should have been smaller. His mid-career work (except Artist Studio) was not great and was overrepresented. Also some later works are to repetitive.
