Today's the day .......................... for a gourmet feast

It was too late when we got back home last night, to blip this - but here it is now.  

We were invited by our neighbours up the road to come for a specially-cooked Japanese meal.  Our hostess, J'Anne, loves cooking and is a bit of an expert on the intricacies of this sort of meal.  We were happy to be in her safe hands and keen to try all that was on the table.

So this was the starter - two different kinds of sushi, accompanied with lots of beautifully shaped tomatoes, radish, spring onions and cucumber.  The rest of the meal was delicious too - and we enjoyed the evening (and their good company) very much ....................
