A Yellow Calendula flower.
The Feast Day of Saint Paulinus of York.
Monday I am busy doing housework and glad to be so.
It means later on in the week I have more time for reading, crocheting, or knitting, walking and taking photos of the neighbourhood beauty.
The nearby cats are not wandering about so much now it is 13c and quite cold. The sun has shone, low in the sky in the morning. Paul and me went for a good walk along the canal tow path and there were two grown up swans on our chosen path, some ducks, a moorhen and geese too. The green algae has dispersed itself on parts of the canal, but in other parts of the water, it really is concerning, as vast amounts remain.
I was happy to go shopping with Paul and then return home to make a lovely lunch of cheese on toast. We have tried to reduce our heat and be happy to wear appropriate layers of clothing and that works well.
The small garden here is doing fine for Autumn and this yellow calendula has battled the elements, and thrived, so deserves a place in my blip journal. I continue to collect seeds and keep them in labelled white envelopes for sowing in 2023.
Thanks for kind comments and stay well blip friends.
