Urban Decay

This might not strike you as urban decay, but here it is in its nascency.
This is the main street in Katoomba and this shuttered shop was once a thriving newsagency.
I know newsagencies are a thing of the past, but this business is typical of so many in the town.

In a similar vein, I noticed today that the Blackheath Butchery is closing two days a week, owing to lack of staff. The staff they do have are exhausted.

Everybody's hiring, nobody's working.
