Mono Monday . . . Urban Decay

The town I live in is fairly neat and tidy and I haven't seen any urban decay recently so I headed south to Wakefield where European settlement began in 1843.  It may have been named after the birthplace of one of its original settlers who was from Wakefield in Yorkshire.  It may have also been named after Captain Arthur Wakefield who led the expedition that first established Nelson City and Province.  On a side street opposite the primary school and between two houses which are occupied is this timber yard.  The buildings don't appear to be in use.  The grass area is storing a lot of sawn timber but it looks weathered to me so it could have been sitting there for a few years.  
The newly planted kumara now have light netting covering them because   a thrush and blackbirds have been digging the plants up looking for insects in that lovely black soil.
