We bought Etta a climbing frame for her birthday and today I took Cal to help assemble it. I had planned to help but Dan got back from playing golf, so he trooped down the garden to work with Cal. I must admit that I wasn't too upset - I got to spend the afternoon chatting with my daughter, playing with Etta, and watching football.
It took them four hours - had I been involved they would have spent a lot of time going to retrieve the pieces that I'd thrown over the garden fence; I have no patience for this kind of thing. The screws were twice the length of the drill bit and each hole had to be drilled so it was a fair amount of work. The construction team and finished job are in the extras.
