Down South

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Eldest Mini Princess,

The Youngest Mini and I flew down to Southampton this morning for the university open day. It was nice but the uni is in quite a residential area and YMP preferred the bigger city vibes of both Glasgow and Liverpool.

When we’d been to all the subject talks, we headed into town on a bus to see the city centre…and then realised how tired we were (we’d been up since just after 4 am) and came straight back!

We actually had a great evening in the hotel room, sitting in bed, watching tv and trying to keep each other awake until at least 9 pm. We FaceTimed EMP and ended up crying with laughter. Mainly because YMP is bonkers. The girl (who can’t remember most things I ask her to do) can recite entire pieces of dialogue from films and tv shows, complete with accents and accompanying facial expressions. This was further accentuated by over-tired hysteria.

We had a lovely night away although I had Alicia Keys in my head all afternoon after a text from Kitty Cat…
