Knaresborough viaduct

Met up with my new friend from New Wine in Harrogate. We had been volunteering together and she had offered to let me camp on her driveway for two nights. We had such a lovely evening I forgot to post yesterday. here is an iconic view of Knaresborough viaduct. In the background you can see the spire of Saint John the Baptist church which has some fascinating tombs of the Slingsby family. So enjoyed walking round Knaresborough with its interesting wall art and quirky shops. Spent the afternoon in RHS Gardens and thoroughly enjoyed a Yorkshire curd tart. So much for a healthy diet! We couldn’t get in anywhere to eat in the evening so had a Indian takeaway at her house. I’ve met two of have her children and her lovely dogs and cat. So nice to interact with everyone after a quiet week camping alone. My friend is a youth pastor, and we’ll be going to her church tomorrow before I head off into the wilds again.
