Finally, the big day arrived. The weather gods really smiled on us after what has been, to say the least, a changeable week. This scene is one of a rare moment of peace and quiet taken shortly after Ziggy had departed on his guided walk. I haven’t sat down to calculate numbers, but last year we had over 100 despite horrible weather, so I’m pretty sure we had well in excess of that this time. It was especially pleasing to see so many young kids getting enthusiastic about fungi!
