Warburg

Another day in the Oxfordshire Chilterns. The spaniel and I headed off to the Warburg Nature Reserve in search of fungi. Warburg sits at the head of a beautifully wooded valley that feels remote and tranquil even though its only a few miles from Henley-upon-Thames. Its famous for its orchids and, at this time of year, for its fungi, with more than 900 species recorded. Although there were plenty of fungi around nothing really piqued my interest so its view across the valley instead. The valley in yesterday's viewpoint is a continuation of the same landscape, about a mile further along.
