Looking Out ...

..My Back Door....an emergency Blip!

It isn't as if it was not an eventful day..

I had a long-awaited morning chat over coffee with my neighbour D to get a recap of her trip to Ireland; she came back with COVID, so any social contact since then has been delayed...at last I got the details!

Then I was off to an appointment at my optometrist's to pick up my new prescription glasses ...which has also been long-awaited...Now, ordinarily this would not be a big thing, but I have been waiting for months to get an "after-cataract surgery" prescription set of glasses that work. For mid- range vision I am fine, but I have been relying on reading glasses for close up and an innate sense of direction and familiarity with street names whilst driving...So many things have intervened since the surgery, that that issue got put on the back burner...and today? I do believe we have success at last.. I can see!  Far! Life should be a bit easier now...

I celebrated by stopping off a favourite restaurant that specializes in delicious breakfasts and indulged...

All that excitement was just too much, so I went home and napped. And did not go out and walk or take photos...which was not a good thing. I will have much to make up for tomorrow...

But for now, an emergency blip saves the blip-less thing!
