Janie

For the last seven months, I have worked on an anthology for this amazing lady, Janie Tippett, of Enterprise, Oregon. Janie is the youngest 89 year old you will ever meet. She is a prolific writer, historian, cook, photographer, and all around cool person. 35 of the best writers in the West contributed poems, essays, reflections, and thoughts, and I compiled them into a book, Janie: A Woman of the West, an Anthology. We presented it to her tonight at Fishtrap Writers Group headquarters in Enterprise. Several people read, including myself, and it was a quality evening honoring a local legend, Janie Tippett.
