Sunshine and showers

It’s been a day when the weather forecast was spot on. Got drenched this morning in one shower.
We have had a young nephew staying en route to a wedding in Edinburgh tomorrow. His plans had to be quickly changed with the announcement of a rail strike and he boarded one of the last trains tonight before the strike sets in.
What with strikes and threats of a winter blackout to save energy and Putin’s nuclear threat in the background it begins to feel winter is already setting in. And summer a distant memory.threat in the background
