Doggy meeting at the Point
Tuesday
Luckily it stayed dry and sunny for our Apple day at Brownies. I was hoping they would be able to pick some apples from the tree in our little garden but there were none there, just a few on the ground, last year it was heaving in apples. Fortunately I was prepared and had bought some British apples yesterday. I was frustrated though as the British ones were hard to find amongst the ones from France, New Zealand, South Africa etc !
The Brownies also brought in some from trees in their gardens and we had a tasting activity .They were really good at describing their findings. We tasted apple juice ( the lady with the press was unable to come in the end ) and apple pies. Of course we had to have a go at apple bobbing so lots of laughter and soggy faces.
We said good bye to four of the girls who are moving onto Guides and sadly one of our Leaders too.
Mike and myself headed to the Point afterwards, just in time to see a few dolphins swimming past. This group of dogs were waiting patiently while their owners , never seen so many and all well behaved.
A lovely sunset followed :)
