The road was closed at the Rest and be Thankful pass on the A83 - so we used the old military road just below it. The problem is, it's single track and very twisty, so we were led through in convoy - at least 60 vehicles, including big lorries, and 60 kept waiting to come the other way... Its a detour of 60 miles or so if both roads are shut...
Pity it wasn't Silly Saturday :)

In other news - Kelpie Maquettes have toured the world helping to promote Scotland as a visitor destination.
The 10ft maquettes – a tenth of the size of the real ones – are now installed at Ardrishaig on the Crinan Canal, so we called in to see them as we passed on our way to Tarbert. Loved the shadows, so they're in extras - thanks for the heads up Sue.
