Tenth Anniversary
Today is the tenth anniversary of the death of my father. He died aged 65 of terminal bowel cancer.
I do not miss him, I have never been to his grave and I will never visit it.
I’m paying physically for what I did yesterday - very little. Today, I have been in bed all day resting, trying and failing to sleep as I’m in a lot of pain and feeing utterly drained. I’ve only got up to make food and visit the loo.
The other thing I did was to have a quick rummage through my wardrobe to plan outfits for the upcoming colder months.
Today’s Blip is of a cardigan I bought in the River Island sale about six weeks ago, it will be getting worn very soon! It was £45 down to £15 - bargain! I loved the colours and the detail of the buttons.
I had a few texts from friends this morning and texted them back. Rosie is feeling sore and drained today too. She has been in a long flare up for the last couple of months due to her fibromyalgia, ME and PoTS.
Did my daily German revision lesson on Duolingo - amazingly managed full marks in spite of the pain and fatigue and have reached my 40 day learning streak!
I read earlier that the host city for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest is to be either Glasgow or Liverpool - the winning city is to be announced tonight. My guess is Liverpool. When they announced the full shortlist I thought Liverpool would be first choice. We shall see!
Planning a quiet weekend, reading and resting. Got the specialist pain physiotherapy appointment on Monday at the hospital. Hopeful it will help.
Thanks for all the kind comments, hearts, stars and follows and sorry in advance if I am slow today and over the weekend at responding to comments. I read them all.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :) xx
