Cedar Key, Florida

Stunning, isn't it? This is the view from the condo Dave & Helen are renting for the weekend. We are a few steps away from them at a dog friendly inn right across from the water . . . a casual and funky place. The whole town is like that it seems. I would describe Cedar Key as very laid back and beautiful. It is 3 hours north of us on the west coast.

We are here for the 29th annual small boat meet. There are no shortages of boats even though the weather is a little windy and somewhat stormy. Steven is out in his tiny one man sailing canoe and dave & helen are out in their boat, the Helen Marie. I opted to stay on shore with the pups and take photos from there! Of course we were welcome on the Helen Marie, but it was not my cup of tea with those stormy skies . . . this way, everyone was happy!
