Green Snake

We were walking Zoe this evening while collecting the mail when my husband suddenly jumped about a foot into the air. It turned out that he almost stepped on this green snake. 
It did not want its photo taken and was doing its best job to be aggressive and even stuck its tongue out at me when I took its picture. I am so glad that I had my macro lens. The snake wasn't as close as this looks.
